The Surron Light Bee 2. Radmoto’s Living Fitment Guide
Share
Last updated: October 2, 2026. This is Radmoto's living reference for the Surron Light Bee 2 (LB2): parts fitment, component sizes, build observations and discoveries that matter when maintaining or modifying the bike. We built our first LB2 and are documenting what we learn here. Future findings will be added to this same page, with a dated update log.
Our initial findings come from our first-bike build review at Radmoto in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, checked against the specifications of the parts in our catalog. We distinguish compatible parts, conversions requiring additional hardware, and observations that still need a full installation test. A shared mounting dimension is useful evidence, but it does not establish complete fitment by itself.
Light Bee 2 component sizes at a glance
| Component | What we found | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Stock handlebar clamp | 31.8 mm | Matches the clamp diameter of Warp 9's LBX-style bars. |
| Stock bar mounting | Direct mount | The bike already comes with a direct mount rather than the steerer-mounted MTB stem found on many earlier e-motos. |
| Grips | Universal lock-on left grip; conventional e-moto throttle arrangement on the right | Standard e-moto replacement grips are an option. This does not confirm electrical throttle compatibility. |
| Foot pegs | LBX-style peg interface | LBX replacement pegs are compatible according to our build review. Brackets and braces are separate fitment questions. |
| Stock wheels | 19-inch front / 18-inch rear | Stock tires: 70/100-19 front and 3.00-18 rear. Select tire size and mounting position carefully; not every size on a multi-variant listing fits. |
| Drive chain | 520 direct drive chain | Do not substitute a 420 or 428 chain. Replacement length and gearing still need documenting. |
| Brake caliper posts | Measured spacing matches LBX and E Ride Pro 2.0 | Promising cross-fitment lead; rotor alignment, adapters and clearance remain untested. |
Handlebars and direct mounts
31.8 mm bars: the stock-clamp route
The stock LB2 handlebar clamp measures 31.8 mm. Warp 9 Handlebars use the same center-clamp diameter. Warp 9's E-Moto Tapped Handlebar also has a 31.8 mm clamp diameter and 80 mm rise. Changing rise, sweep or width can affect control position and hose/cable slack, so check full steering clearance after installation.
Our build review identifies the Warp 9 Transformer Bar Mount, GritShift 31.8 mm Direct Mount Stem Riser and Heavy Hitter Titanium Direct Mount Riser as compatible mounting options. Follow each manufacturer's hardware, spacer and headset-preload instructions; instructions written for replacing an older steerer-mounted stem should not be treated as a description of the LB2's factory setup.
Fatbars: choose the clamp diameter, not just the name
“Fatbar” does not describe one universal clamp size. Our Renthal OEM Replacement Bend Fatbar and Renthal CRF Fatbar use a 1-1/8 inch (approximately 28.6 mm) center clamp. ODI Podium MX bars also use 28.6 mm. These require a matching mount, such as the GritShift Heavy Hitter MX Fat Bar Direct Mount, or correctly specified 31.8-to-28.6 mm handlebar shims. The Warp 9 Transformer mount includes 28.6 mm shims.
Renthal Fatbar 35 and Prickly 35 mm bars are a different setup again: they require a 35 mm clamp. They do not fit the stock 31.8 mm clamp. We have not yet confirmed a specific 35 mm mount installation on the LB2, so those combinations remain outside this first confirmed catalog batch. Title-brand mounts also need product-specific diameter and mounting checks before we list a particular combination.
Grips: familiar e-moto sizing
The stock bike uses a lock-on left grip and a conventional e-moto throttle on the right. Based on our build review, replacement e-moto grips fit this arrangement, including ODI Ruffian Half Waffle, ODI Marty Smith ReGrip, ODI MXPro, Scott, OEM LBX and standalone E Ride Pro grips.
Keep the left and right sides straight: the left grip fits the bare bar, while the larger-bore right grip goes over the existing throttle tube. Some motocross lock-on grip kits include a throttle tube and gas-bike throttle cams; those kits are not automatically confirmed for the LB2 just because the left grip fits. We have not confirmed replacement throttle assemblies, wiring or other electrical components.
Foot pegs: LBX-style replacements
We identified the LB2 peg interface as compatible with classic LBX replacement pegs. The initial catalog batch includes Warp 9 Surron Foot Pegs, OEM-style LBX replacement pegs, CNC aluminum LBX-compatible pegs, and Prickly MX / Prickly Wide pegs. KKE LBX-style pegs are also part of our build findings.
This applies to the replacement peg itself. It does not confirm LBX peg brackets, support braces, lowering kits, bolt kits or rear/passenger peg assemblies on the LB2.
Tires: 70/100-19 front, 3.00-18 rear
Stock tire sizes: 70/100-19 front and 3.00-18 rear. The aftermarket sizes below are alternative options, not the factory tire sizes. A 90/100-18 tire should not be treated as an exact equivalent to the stock 3.00-18; confirm the tire manufacturer's rim-width requirements and actual mounted clearance.
The stock wheel setup opens up useful Dunlop and Pivotrax options. Initial size-matched choices are:
- Front, 70/100-19: Dunlop Geomax MX53; the 19-inch MX34 listing also matches this front size.
- Aftermarket rear option, 90/100-18: Dunlop MX33, plus the 90/100-18 variants of our MX33 and K990 listings. Their 21-inch variants do not fit the stock front wheel.
- Alternative Pivotrax sizes: front, 80/100-19; rear, 90/100-18: the corresponding variants of Cyber and Kilowatt Climber tires.
These are size-based fitment selections rather than a claim that every tire has been mounted and tested on our LB2. Confirm rim-width suitability, front or rear application, and clearance to the chain, fork and swingarm through suspension travel. Our current Pivotrax EXP listing is 90/100-16 and does not match the stock 18-inch rear wheel.
The larger swingarm is worth investigating
The LB2 swingarm appears substantially roomier than the old LBX swingarm. That could make wider rear tires possible, but we have not measured or tested a maximum width. Tire markings alone also do not tell you the mounted knob-to-knob width. We will add tested larger sizes here as we fit them.
Brakes: a promising LBX / E Ride Pro upgrade lead
The stock LB2 brakes look and feel like a heavier-duty system between the LBX and Ultra Bee setups: more substantial than the LBX system, without the full bulk of the Ultra Bee hardware. This is our workshop observation, not a claim that the components are interchangeable with Ultra Bee parts.
We measured the caliper post spacing and found it matches the LBX and E Ride Pro 2.0. That gives us two useful directions to test: whether complete LB2 brakes can upgrade those earlier bikes, and whether LBX brake upgrades can fit the LB2.
Brake interchangeability is not yet confirmed. The next checks are rotor diameter and thickness, lateral alignment, adapter geometry, bolt engagement, caliper clearance, hose routing and lever installation. Matching post spacing alone is not enough to call a brake kit bolt-on. No brake upgrade products have been marked LB2-compatible from this measurement alone.
520 chain: a catalog item already exists
We observed a 520 chain on the LB2. Radmoto already lists an EK 520 MX Chain in 120-link length with a clip-style master link. Its chain size matches, but we have not confirmed the stock LB2 link count, whether 120 links provides sufficient length, or the complete replacement specification. It remains a candidate rather than a confirmed LB2 replacement listing.
We are not calling 520 the largest chain used on an e-moto; the useful finding is the size on this bike. Existing LBX 420 and E Ride Pro 428 chains are not substitutes for a 520 drivetrain.
Front fender and electrical parts: still open
The front fender looks more like an E Ride Pro SR fender than the earlier LBX fender. Appearance is a lead to investigate, not mounting confirmation. Hole spacing, attachment shape and wheel clearance still need checking.
Electrical fitment has not been evaluated. Controllers, motors, batteries, harnesses, displays, chargers, lights and replacement electrical throttle assemblies are excluded from this first fitment batch.
Update log
- October 2, 2026 — Initial first-build findings: documented 31.8 mm bars, factory direct mount, grip arrangement, LBX-style pegs, 19/18 wheels with 70/100-19 front and 3.00-18 rear stock tires, 520 chain, roomier swingarm, brake post-spacing measurements and front-fender observations. Added Light Bee 2 to 38 catalog product fitment fields with installation and variant-specific notes. Brake interchangeability, electrical components, fender mounting, maximum tire width and chain length remain open.
