In our current economy, we take materials from the Earth, make products from them, and eventually throw them away as waste – the process is linear. In a circular economy, by contrast, we stop waste being produced in the first place.

Hardware–as–a–Service, which clearly has roots in Software-as–a–Service, is a business model where companies sell packages that include hardware, software, maintenance and, sometimes, installation, for a monthly fee. Under HaaS, customers pay for services, not Things.

A EV is defined as a vehicle that can be powered by an electric motor that draws electricity from a battery and is capable of being charged from an external source. An EV includes both a vehicle that can only be powered by an electric motor that draws electricity from a battery (all-electric vehicle) and a vehicle that can be powered by an electric motor that draws electricity from a battery and by an internal combustion engine (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle).

Transportation over short distances provided by lightweight, usually single-person vehicles (such as bicycles and scooters). The arrival of electric scooters and motor-assisted bicycles, backbones of a transportation mode known asmicromobility, has been welcomed as part of the solution to clogged roadways and unbearable travel delays.
