Ever since its inception, ONYX Motorbikes has been plagued with a community question: "Link to fender?". It was not until now that the question has been answered! I proudly present: "Z-LINK-TO-FENDER", the 1st direct-fit, bolt-on REAR fender available for ONYX Motorbikes' RCR and CTY2.
No drilling, No cable ties, No Duct Tape, and No Magnets required.......all you do is bolt the fender on to add Pure Style, Protection, and Clean Lines. Until now, there has been no mass-produced rear fender designed specifically for the ONYX platform, so I took on the challenge and the requests, now here it is! "Z-Link to Fender", the rear one!
It is very important to read the full description here so that you choose the proper options for your bike and to accommodate accessories you may have attached to the rear rack. Returns will not be accepted due to non-fit, or installation issues that arise if you order the wrong version. Read ALL the information below. I want what you receive to fit perfectly!
Z-Link-To-Fender (Rear) Specifications:
- 100 mm wide (≈4")
- 825mm ≈32.5 inch / 132° wrap (shorty height version)
- 785mm ≈31.0 inch / 125° wrap (standard height version)
- Drill less mounting: Mounts to the plate under your seat where the OEM rack bolts to and a secondary mount on the frame tube.
- Tested to fit up to 3" tires. (Larger sizes may fit but you must email me BEFORE you order so we can make certain it will fit and have proper clearances.
- Clearance tested with 300 and 350mm stock and egoboost shock stroke length.
- All included hardware is stainless steel.
Ordering Options:
- Motorbike Height: Shorty/Standard options are to place fender in proper location in relation to the tire. Specific mounts are provided for different bike heights. Shorty/Standard height is determined by measuring from post to post on the on the rear shock. Shorty post to post shock length will be 300mm ≈11 13/16" and Standard will be 350mm ≈13 3/4".
- Axle to Crank Measurement: Must fall between 17"-17 5/8" for curved exit profile for proper tire clearance. Straight exit profile is compatible with larger axle to crank spacing.
- Mounting Hardware: Bikes without ONYX's OEM rear rack will require the optional hardware kit. M6 hex cap bolts, nylon lock nuts and washers are required.
- Fender Exit Profile: Curved or Straight are for looks and less wind drag, and to accommodate large axle to crank spacings.
Important compatibility information with other Z-Creations parts:
- Standard Height+Curved Exit: All Parts Compatible.
- Standard Height+Straight Exit: All Parts Compatible
- Shorty Height+Curved Exit: All Parts Compatible
- Shorty Height+Straight Exit: Z-Tail variants are NOT compatible. If you have things attached to the underside of your rack, order the curved exit profile.
It is the details, and I tell ya that really matters. These parts are FDM fabricated from PTEG material then post-process machined with my own two hands then packaged. High quality, strong, though slightly flexible for a excellent fit while adding durability. SS bolts and locking hardware included!
The fender package is made to order. Typical fabrication/shipping timing for this fender package is approximately 3-4 working days. What this means is if you order on a Monday, the latest it should ship is Thursday/Friday. If there is a longer lead time due to many store orders, you will be notified.
